BUS160: Introduction to Accounting
This unit provides an introduction and overview of corporate and management reporting. In the corporate reporting area, accounting will be set in its economic framework and topics such as the accounting equation, cash vs. accrual, accounting standards, financial ratio analysis, intercompany comparisons and performance evaluation will be considered. Management reporting will cover an introduction to budgeting, C-V-P analysis, financial and non-financial indicators, performance evaluation and interdivisional comparisons.
