BUS145: Principles of Management

Introduction to the discipline and practice of management. Weekly workshops will emphasise generic skill development for research, writing and oral presentations. Exercises, feedback and discussion in a supportive group environment will emphasise techniques to develop individual skill acquisition. Weekly lectures will include topics such as business ethics, workplace and workforce of the new millennium, cross cultural management, motivation and psychological principles of learning. Upon completion students should have consolidated core skills, enhancing transition to second year management units.

Nil.
Co-requisite: Internet access if studying externally.
