BIO535: Trace Evidence (Not available in 2010)

This unit covers aspects of collection and examination of trace evidence and comparisons, including fingerprints, ballistics, hair, paint, fibres, soils, glass (including in the context of motor vehicle accidents). Students will learn how to commission expertise, and to understand, defend and question such evidence. A case study or studies will be used to illustrate the unit content.

Completion of, or concurrent enrolment in, BIO534 Fundamentals of Forensic Science AND Enrolment in either the Postgraduate Certificate in Forensic Science (Courtroom Practice) or the Postgraduate Diploma in Forensic Science (Courtroom Practice).
