BIO534: Fundamentals of Forensic Science

Principles of scientific investigation will be introduced, including the scientific method, hypothesis formation and testing, scientific proof and peer review. Advanced law of expert evidence both in Australia and internationally and jury advocacy with expert evidence will be explored. Crime scene investigation techniques, evidence collection and preservation, bloodstain pattern analysis, physical evidence and several other areas of forensic expertise will be introduced.
