Evaluation Results
Requirements
Evidence that student evaluations of subjects are publicly available on the University's website.
Documentation
The most recent results of student evaluations of subjects.
These data should be aggregated. A suggested level of aggregation is the DEST field of education
(4 digit level). However, if universities have data that is aggregated at a level such as School
or Faculty, this will be acceptable.
Evidence
The Teaching and Learning Centre maintains a comprehensive, publicly available website providing policies,
practices and the results of student evaluations of teaching and subjects (referred to
as units at Murdoch) at:
http://www.tlc.murdoch.edu.au/eddev/evaluation/survey/frontpage.html
The policy for mandatory student surveys of units at Murdoch University has been in place
since 1993.

Prior to 2004, the results from units were aggregated across the university and for individual
divisions and these are provided on the TLC website. Since, 2004, Murdoch has made annual
school level results publicly available on the TLC website. These can be found at:

Murdoch has conducted a whole of institution survey of the student experience, the Whole
of University Experience Survey, in 2003 and 2005 and is planning to conduct it again in the
second half of 2007. The results of the survey in 2003 and 2005 are available at:
http://www.tlc.murdoch.edu.au/project/index.html
A similar survey instrument is used each time and is available at:
