Public lecture series
Each year, we present a series of public lectures from some of our most esteemed researchers. Our current series is themed UNDERCOVER and features presentations on forensic science and toxicology, criminology, Japanese sub-culture and the hidden truths of Trump’s economic politics.
Public lectures run every Monday evening between 27 February and 3 April from 6pm until 7pm.
Parent information evenings
There’s a lot to consider when your child is applying for university. Our Parent Information Evenings are designed to give you the information you need about the application and offer process, costs and financial support, accommodation and support services. We’ll also offer information on how to support your child as they transition to life as a university student.
Take a tour of campus
Explore our Perth campus with your child and see our learning areas and facilities by taking a guided tour.
We run tours twice a week:
- Mondays at 5 to 5.45pm
- Thursdays at 12 to 12.45pm
To book you place on a campus tour, please email us or complete this booking form.
Careers and information evenings
Help your child find inspiration and ideas at our themed Careers and Information Evenings. The evenings focus on broad areas of interest, and enable students to not only explore their career or course of interest, but other relevant and related areas. They’ll meet leading academics and learn first-hand about our courses and the careers they can lead to. Brief course presentations will be followed by an expo, where your child can chat to academics and current students. Our Future Student Officers will also be on hand to talk about getting into university, scholarships and support services.
A day in the life of a university student
Let your child experience life as a Murdoch student. They’ll pick their classes for the day and attend workshops, lectures and labs with their new classmates. They will experience everything Murdoch has to offer, from our world class facilities to our green and vibrant campus.
Our Day in the Life program runs in the April school holidays for Year 11 and 12 students and the September school holidays for Year 9 and 10 students. It’s free, but places are limited, so please book early to secure your place.
