Course Description

At Murdoch University you can combine a Bachelor of Criminology degree with a Bachelor of Communication.

Under our Bachelor of Criminology you can choose to specialise in: Criminal Behaviour, Crime Science  (only university in Australia to offer this) or Legal Studies. You will learn about the causes of burgeoning crime rates, the criminal mind and behaviours and explore the legal system and how it shapes our society.

Our Bachelor of Communication allows you to specialise in: Journalism, Strategic Communication or Global, Media and Communication. You will learn and perfect presentation skills, media liaison, broadcasting, writing, news media, public affairs, advocacy and more.

The combination of a Criminology and Communication degree means you will gain valuable, additional skills to use in your future career.  Upon completion of this combined degree you will have opportunities to work in a range of fields including: media, criminal and justice systems, public relations, management and federal, state or local government.
