You’ll build the skills you need to become an independent image-maker who will graduate with the confidence, creativity and capacity to succeed in the photographic industry anywhere in the world.
You’ll examine the power and meaning of image and its cultural-historical context. You will also be equipped with contemporary network and marketing skills, which will be key to your success as a creative producer.
To expand your skills and knowledge further, you can combine Photography with another major such as Journalism, Web Communication, Graphic Design or Screen Production.
When you’re working in the industry, you can apply to join various industry associations such as Australian Accredited Professional Photographers, CAMS Photographer Accreditation Program or Australian Photographers Association. You will graduate ready for a career in fields such as fashion, journalism, publications, advertising, professional photographic agencies, corporations, art, and government, or you could start your own business as a freelance photographer.
