Course Description

If you love the idea of working overseas or as part of our Australian tourism landscape, a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management could take you anywhere.

In this course, you’ll learn about business management principles and the latest developments in Hospitality and Tourism Management. You’ll focus on sustainable tourism, and learn how to analyse data to help forecast areas of growth and decline.

At Murdoch, you’ll learn from some of WA’s top tourism experts who have worked in the industry and are actively involved in tourism research. You’ll be mentored as you learn how research informs business decision-making, and will complete significant research-based or scholarship-centred projects.

To expand your expertise and career prospects even further, you could combine this course with another major such as Management or Marketing.

You’ll graduate with the skills you need to work in the tourism industry as a tour operator, and in accommodation outlets and resorts, travel wholesalers and retailers and government agencies.
