The Graduate Diploma in Web Communication is an innovative qualification that will provide you with essential practical, theoretical and technical knowledge in the core areas of social media strategy, search engine optimisation, digital content strategy and web analytics. Throughout this project based course, you will cover all aspects of a web communication campaign as well as the full spectrum of web communications in business, social, political, and organisational spheres.
You will undertake several projects that allow you to understand how each area is integrated into an authentic client based web communication campaign, as well as develop your technical skills to maximise your opportunities in this emerging landscape.
You will research and analyse key strategic communications theories, definitions, history, scope, and the underlying methods of web planning practice; learn how to implement effective web data collection tools and processes for a range of search engine optimisation, conduct research on target demographics, analyse both qualitative and quantitative data for strategic and business applications; and develop skills in audience research, campaign planning and the resources required to engage in the application of an online social media strategy for a variety of online contexts. You will then work with clients under the supervision of industry professionals to create solutions to web communications challenges.
The Graduate Diploma in Web Communication will prepare you to work as a web communications specialist, online public relations and marketing consultant, SEO strategist, digital-content strategist, e-commerce specialist, digital producer, e-marketer, web studio account manager, social media strategist, and web metrics analyst.
