Step 3 (c) - Important Housekeeping

Unit dates

All units have important dates associated with them. They are:

• Start Date - date the unit begins
• Census Date - last date to withdraw from the unit without it appearing on your academic record or to incur tuition fees
• Withdrawal Date - first date to withdraw from the unit with a "Withdrawn/WD" result on academic record and to incur tuition fees
• Fail Date - first date to withdraw from the unit with a Fail grade (N) recorded and to incur tuition fees
• End Date - date the unit finishes

The census date for semesters 1 & 2 is the end of week 4.

A list of all University teaching periods and census dates for the current year can be found in the Handbook.

Prescribed Text Books

Most units have prescribed or set text books. The University Bookshop online can provide you with a list of prescribed texts for the units you have enrolled in. These text books can be purchased either in person at the University Bookshop at Murdoch or Rockingham campus or online via the Bookshop's website.
