Quality Assurance of Regional Engagement

Introduction

In Murdoch University’s current strategic plan , the regional engagement goal restricted is “to engage with communities in the Rockingham-Kwinana and Peel Region and the sphere of influence of our campuses to build productive partnerships in order to expand community participation in lifelong learning, support the sustainable development of the region through relevant social and scientific research, and enrich the cultural life of the community”.

Regional engagement issues are overseen by the Regional Campuses Steering Committee. As regional engagement overlaps with other goals and areas of the University the membership of the RCSC includes the Pro Vice Chancellor (Academic), Pro Vice Chancellor (Research), Pro Vice Chancellor (Resource Management) and the Executive Deans. The Committee is chaired by the Pro Vice Chancellor (Regional Development).
