Mail Services

Services Provided :

Location:

The Mailroom is located near Central Stores on the South East corner of the Murdoch campus.

Hours:

8.00am - 4.15pm - Monday to Friday

How to Request Services :

Advice regarding services and charges is readily available by calling the Mailroom on (08) 9360 2463.

General Information :

Mail is collected from Palmyra Delivery Centre at 7.30am each weekday. Mail is then sorted and delivered throughout the campus.

Approximate commencement of mail delivery/collection rounds are as follows :

South Street Campus Mail Service:

9.30am - All points on Murdoch campus
2.15pm - All points on Murdoch campus

Rockingham and Peel Campus Mail Service:

11.00am - Courier departs Murdoch campus and delivers mail to the Facilities Management offices by 12.30pm at Rockingham and 2.15pm at Peel.
Mail from rockingham and Peel arrives at 2.15pm at South Street Campus.

Mail services are as follows:

  • Standard mail - Australia Post (Services include registered and reply paid).
  • Local courier - Courier Australia (Services include urgent and non-urgent rates).
  • Interstate Courier, Toll Priority and Australian Air Express (Hand delivered and signed for on delivery).
  • International - Australia Post (All overseas mail is sent airmail unless otherwise requested.).
  • International Courier - TNT (Hand delivered and signed for on delivery).

All international non-document items, and documents weighing over 500gms, must be accompanied by a customs declaration which must include a monetary value. Printing "No commercial value" is not acceptable. Customs declarations are available from the Mailroom.

Special Delivery Dispatch Request forms are also available from the Mailroom for items requiring express delivery or other special services ie. Registration.

All mail is charged back to the originating School / Office / Research account. Private mail is not accepted unless it has correct postage applied.
