Grounds Services
Location :Grounds Compound, adjacent to the University's playing fields on the western side of campus. Hours :7.00am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday (winter)6.30am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday (summer) General Information :The Murdoch Campus, one of the largest in Australia, covers approximately 227 hectares and is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna. The Rockingham Campus covers 2 hectares and was opened in 1997. The maintenance of the University's grounds is the responsibility of the Grounds Manager and his team. Campus areas are planted predominantly with Western Australian native species indigenous to the Swan Coastal Plain. The only variation from this policy is in courtyards which have traditionally been exotic plantings to add softness and promote quiet restful areas to relax and study. The Grounds staff are also responsible for the University's playing fields, and road, carparks and bush reserves including bushfire control. Further information is available for the following:
