Pool Vehicles
Services Provided:
Location : Chancellery Building, Level 2, Student Service Centre.
Hours : 8.00 am to 4.30 pm
How to Request Services:
Pool vehicles can be booked via Microsoft Outlook Public Folders. Select the
following tree menu items from Outlook:
- Select the appropriate car required from the list.
- Select the Day and Time the car is required and double click on this box.
- Enter your name and contact phone number in the Subject line.
- Select the Start and End times that you will require the car for.
- Click on Save and Close.
You will be able to make changes to this booking at a later time if you require
but you will not be able to make changes to bookings made by other staff members.
If you do not have access to Microsoft Outlook or the Public Folders and require
assistance please contact the Student Service Centre on 9360 6127.
General Information :
The University offers a variety of vehicles for use by University staff. Charges
are based on kilometres and the time the vehicles are used. The range of vehicles
includes sedans of various sizes, station wagons, and a utility.
Vehicle Cost Structure:
Sedans and Station Wagon
- $10.00 per hour (charged at half hour intervals) plus .20cents per kilometre.
- No cap on charges.
Instructions For Drivers Using 'Pool' Vehicles
- The use of a University vehicle is granted on the clear understanding
that the driver must be in possession of a current WA driving licence (not
validated by disqualification etc) and that the classification of the licence
is appropriate for the vehicle being driven.
- Log sheets must be completed for each use of a pool vehicle. Details
required include times, drivers name, School and account number. Details must
be clearly decipherable to Administration staff for costing purposes. On completion
of your journey ensure that all doors on the vehicle are locked and
return the logbook and keys to the Student Service Centre.
- For a journey of longer than one day a BP Fuelcard for fuel purchases
should be collected with the vehicle keys. Receipts for fuel must be obtained
and returned with the book, card and keys.
- Please report any defects or malfunctions noticed with the vehicle
to the Student Service Centre. All rubbish to be removed and if left untidy
a cleaning fee will charged.
- Please note that Murdoch University is a smoke-free environment,
and smoking is not permitted in any University vehicles.
- Vehicles must he returned on time to avoid delays for the next
user and if not returned on time a late fee will be charged.
- Any accidents or damage caused to the vehicle must be reported to
the Student Service Centre to enable insurance claims to be lodged and repairs
carried out - $100 excess fee applies.
- Vehicles kept overnight must be returned no later than 8.00 am
the next day.
- Non compliance with any of these conditions may result in future
use of University vehicles being refused.
- Any parking or traffic infringements are the responsibility of
the user.
