Uniform Policy - OFM

Policy No: FM/UNIPOL-001

INTRODUCTION

The provision of uniforms for Customer Service staff of the Office of Facilities Management will enable clients to easily identify OFM staff and services. It will also present an efficient and organised image of OFM to the University community.

The minimum provisions with regard to uniforms for Customer Service Roles within OFM are set out in the following Policy.

This policy is to complement the Enterprise Bargaining Agreement for OFM staff.

POLICY

OFM agrees to provide uniforms to General Staff in customer service roles and for positions up to and including Supervisors and Co-ordinators.

All future Customer Service Staff shall be supplied with a uniform to this standard. All staff provided with uniforms are encouraged to wear the uniform supplied.

STANDARD

The standard supplied uniform is as per Style Corp brochures (attached).

The following system shall be implemented; the item allocations per staff member are as follows;

Full-time permanent staff
Any four From a choice of shirts or three style blouses and a shell top
Any three From a choice of dress, skirt, trousers or shorts
One only From a choice of Cardigan, waistcoat or blazer
Part-time permanent staff
Any two From a choice of shirts or three style blouses and a shell top
Any two From a choice of dress, skirt, trousers or shorts
One only From a choice of Cardigan, waistcoat or blazer
Casual staff
To be negotiated with the Manager

UNIFORM REPLACEMENT (subsequent to initial purchase)

OFM agrees to subsidise staff for future replacement purchases by 50%, staff will have to contribute the remaining 50% for all future purchases.
(Note: It is tax deductible).
