ETC building honoured, naturally

Murdoch University emerged triumphant from the WA Environment Awards in October, having won the Eco-Building category.

The Environmental Technology Centre was chosen because of the environmentally sustainable technologies used in a real setting.

The ETC new building complex is designed to maximise natural light and cross-ventilation and is built from both recycled and recyclable materials that enhance thermal performance. Everything on-site is recycled and the building is run on renewable energy.

Professor Goen Ho accepted the award on behalf of the University.
The award recognises the fabulous design by its architect and builder Earth House and the contribution made by over 20 industry partners.
