Important tasks

There are some steps you need to complete before you can attend your graduation ceremony. Learn more about attending a ceremony.

About the ceremony

Please note that we won’t have any livestream this year. The digital program booklet will be shared on each of the ceremony pages.

Ceremony fee

The fee includes your regalia and admission for yourself and two guests. You can choose to hire or purchase your regalia.

Tickets

Your guest tickets and ceremony instructions can be collected when you collect your regalia. You and your guests will need to present your tickets to gain entry. 

  • Guest tickets will be restricted to two per graduand for each ceremony at this stage. Once the portal has closed two weeks prior to the ceremonies, all graduands registered as attending will be notified by email if there are additional tickets available for your ceremony.
  • Children over the age of two years will require a ticket.
  • Your guest tickets are in addition to your ticket.

Venue

Singapore graduations will be held at the Mediacorp Theatre (Level 3).

For your convenience, a complimentary shuttle service will be provided for graduands and guests attending the graduation ceremonies on 4th May 2024. The interval of the shuttle will be every 15 minutes between 9.30 AM – 1.30PM for ceremony 1 and 3.00 PM – 7.00PM for ceremony 2.

Pick up point and drop off point will be at One-North MRT station Exit B and The Theatre @ Mediacorp Taxi Stand. Please keep a look out for Murdoch University Logo on the front of the vehicle.


Accessibility

Murdoch University is committed to providing universal access to our events. Please contact Completion and Graduations at least two weeks before the ceremony if you require assistance so suitable arrangements can be organised. Advance notice is necessary to arrange for some accessibility needs.

What to wear

You must wear the complete Murdoch University academic regalia for the award you are receiving, or the regalia for previous awards.

Pronunciation of your name

To ensure your name is pronounced correctly during the ceremony, advise Completion and Graduations of the correct pronunciation at least two weeks before.

Collect your tickets and regalia

We encourage you to collect your regalia and guest tickets before your ceremony during the dates and times indicated below. Prior to collection, you must book a time slot. The link to make a booking through our regalia provider, Werkz, will be provided after you confirm your attendance.

You must book a time slot prior to collection.

On the day

Each graduation ceremony starts promptly and follows a set program. You need to arrive on time to register and take your seat so you don’t miss out.

Accepting your certificate

As you reach the stage your name will be checked before it is announced. Once announced, walk across the stage to the Chancellor to receive your certificate. The ceremony photographer will be positioned in front of the stage to take a photo of the presentation. Following this you will then continue across the stage where an usher will direct you back to the graduand seating area.

After the ceremony

To make your night run more smoothly, arrange in advance where you will meet your guests after the ceremony. Waiting at the exits can cause congestion.

Studio and Stage Photography

Photographers will be available before and after the ceremony for studio portraits. A range of photo package options are available for you to choose from and can be viewed at Werkz Photography. Further information will also be provided at your regalia collection session.

Under no circumstances shall the University be liable for any actual or alleged loss by a ticket holder or another arising from the change of date, cancellation or postponement of the event; this includes but is not limited to travel, accommodation and subsistence costs, or any loss of business or earnings due to the cancellation or postponement of the graduation ceremony.
