  • Are you sure you are using the correct password? If you have obtained a new Murdoch Password from the iT Service Counter, it will consist of 8 uppercase letters. Make sure you enter it in uppercase. You can check your password is correct by clicking here and logging in.
  • Where are you trying to log in? For MyInfo and the above Murdoch Password Check facility, a new password will work instantaneously. For a number of other systems (Webmail, most computer labs on campus, dialup) it will take up to 15 minutes before the new password takes effect.
  • Do you have access to the particular service you are trying to log into? Students commonly ask why they cannot log into WebCT, and the answer is often that they are not actually enrolled in any units that utilise WebCT, and therefore do not have access. You can check with your tutor as to whether your unit has a WebCT component.
  • If all else fails go to the iT Service Counter in the Library foyer to have your password reset.
