To log in to WebCT, you go to the webpage http://online.murdoch.edu.au, and click on the "Login" button. You should then be presented with a login box asking for your Murdoch Username and Murdoch Password. If you DON'T see this box, this FAQ is for you. If you DO see this box, and your username and password is being rejected for some reason, please check out this FAQ.

If you are reading this, it means that when you click on "Login" you are taken to some sort of page which says "Page not found" or "Access denied" or somesuch. This is not an error with WebCT. This is due to some adware that you have installed on your computer, which is interfering with the WebCT logon process. Some common adware includes:

  • PerfectNav: Comes bundled with Kazaa.
  • Internet Optimizer: Comes bundled with various software.
  • MySearchBar: unsure what this comes with.

You should be able to delete the programs by going to:
Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs
and removing those specified above. For PerfectNav removal, you will need to remove Kazaa.
