Current traffic costs can be found here.

The cost is approximately 1.9c for every megabyte of traffic you download. Every webpage that you view counts towards your download. Most webpages are quite small - an average google search results page is approximately 25kb so you would get 40 google pages for 1.9c. If,  however, you want to listen to the radio or look at online clips from You Tube, 1.9c will give you approximately 30seconds.

Note: If you are dialing up to the university through a modem, you are charged an additional 20c/hour while you have an SSH connection open to "gateway". If you don't know what gateway is, check it out here.

The university provides some funds towards your internet usage. Also, some sites are free to view.
