Each student has a printing account, and this account is used for printing in all the computer labs, including the Library (except Public Access computers.

When you login to a computer a window should appear in the top left of the screen showing how much print quota you have, if this window does not appear, you will not be able to print from that computer and you should contact the iT Service Desk to let them know this has occurred.

To print a file, select File and then Print. Once you have sent the print job to the printer a 'Print Job Notification' window will appear with the document name, number of pages and total cost of the print job, you then click on 'Print' to print the file.

The file will then be printed.

If you do not have enough funds in your print quota you will receive a message in the bottom right of the screen saying that your print job was denied and that you do not have enough credit.

For information about adding funds to your printing account see Paying for more Print Quota

If you are using one of the public access computers, you send the print job to the printer by selecting to File and Print.

You go to a print station and highlight your file. Double click on the file and a window will appear showing the number of pages and the cost. Click on 'OK'

You then either swipe your card or wave your card over the proximity sensor and enter your PIN number and press the green enter button. If you are asked for an account code, do just press the green enter button.

The print job will then be printed at the printer.
