The University automatically provides you with an email address, of the format yourstudentnumber@student.murdoch.edu.au.

You can use another private email address if you prefer, however accessing your private email over the internet from campus computers or via the Murdoch modem pool will usually incur costs, which will be charged against your internet quota. If you wish to use your own email address, you must tell Murdoch what it is. Otherwise you will not receive important messages from various sections of the University, such as examination information.

To notify the University of your preferred email address go to: http://myinfo.murdoch.edu.au/.
Once logged in, click on "E-mail addr." at the top of the page. Change your email address to your personal one, then click on "Submit".

While we often receive requests from students to have their student email address changed to something more personal (eg: JohnSmith@student.murdoch.edu.au instead of 12345678@student.murdoch.edu.au) we are unfortunately not able to offer that service at this time.
