Purpose: The purpose of the document is to provide clear direction to the University community on the release or upcoming release of a significant software product, or product set.
Product: Apple Macintosh OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard)
Expected Release Date: Third Quarter 2009
Position: The University is currently investigating migration to the next version of Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard).
You are requested NOT to download nor install this product onto a Murdoch owned workstation that is connected to the network. If you have already downloaded and installed the product, then please contact the IT Service Desk for advice on how to proceed. Any issues as a result of this installation may require your workstation to be re-imaged.
