• Access Restrictions at Murdoch
  A summary of access restrictions used at Murdoch, including authentication, authorisation, and details of the two most commonly used methods, MAIS Access Restriction and Active Directory (AD) Access Restriction.
  • Active Directory (AD) Access Restriction
    Active Directory (AD) is used to apply access restriction to information resources (such as policies), application systems and services. Users may be prompted to enter their Murdoch Username and Murdoch Password, although for some systems, there is no login prompt when using Internet Explorer on a computer on campus, or via VPN connection.
  • MAIS Access Restriction
    The Murdoch Authentication & Identification System (MAIS) is used to apply access restriction to information resources, application systems and services. Users enter their Murdoch Username and Murdoch Password at a MAIS Login screen.
