Murdoch Policies Index
The Murdoch Policies Index is a comprehensive index of policy resources.
Murdoch University has adopted an electronic policy management system, the Policy and Procedure Manager (PPM).
Please Note: PPM operates best using Internet Explorer v7 upwards and that there are a limited number of licenses for general usage.
If you click on any link to a PPM policy while logged onto a Murdoch computer with your Murdoch Username and Murdoch Password, then you should be able to read the document WITHOUT re-entering your credentials.
However, if you are not logged onto a Murdoch computer, then you will be prompted to enter your Murdoch Username and Murdoch Password.
As with the Policies Index, there are only a small number of policies that are treated as secure, and most policies can be viewed on the publicly accessible PPM site.
The Policy and Procedure Manager is an important initiative that delivers substantial improvements to our previous policy framework, providing 'one source of truth' in respect of official policy documents, ensuring a consistent approach is taken to policy content and format, and ensuring that policies have an allocated owner and review cycle.
Policies, procedures and guidelines are organised into nine areas in the PPM, as follows:

- Finance, Purchasing & Insurance
- Governance
- Health, Safety & Environment
- Human Resources
- Information Technology
- Learning & Teaching
- Legislation
- Physical Facilities
- Research
Some Offices are still in the process of transferring existing University policies from the wide range of current formats residing outside the system, into the new format and located within the system.
While we are still in this transition stage, the Policies Index will remain in place, and it is recommended you continue to use this index to search for policies. Entries in the Policies Index are linked directly into the PPM for those policies now in the new system. PPM includes the University Act, By-Laws, Regulations, Standing Orders and Statutes.
The Policies Index provides several ways to browse and search for University policies. Use the menu options to the left of this page to browse policies by category. Alternatively, you may browse or search for policies using the options below.
