Systems and Services Offered via Secure Web Servers at Murdoch

Some of the systems and services that involve Connecting to Secure Web Servers at Murdoch are listed.

MAIS

The Murdoch Authentication & Identification System , or MAIS, uses a Secure Web Server and requires users to login using a valid Murdoch Username and a Murdoch Password.

MAIS functions include Murdoch Password Change and MAIS Authorities Maintenance & Inquiry. If you are a Murdoch staff member or student, or person associated with Murdoch University and have MAIS 'Other' status, and you are experiencing problems with MAIS login then you may need to Upgrade Your Web Browser . Access Restrictions

Access to a range of information resources and services is restricted via the MAIS and requires users to login at a MAIS login screen using their Murdoch Username and Murdoch Password. Some of these services are hosted externally. Other information resources and services only requires users to login at a MAIS login screen when they are not accessed via the Murdoch University Network, ie. a user is using an ISP for their Internet access.

There are other systems that use the MAIS database to authenticate users, but use their own login screen, rather than the MAIS login screen. A number of other systems require a user to authenticate against the University's Active Directory.
