Murdoch University Functional Organisation StructureOrganisational StructureThe organisational structure of Murdoch University comprises two main types of organisational-unit:
Cross-linking of data in different systemsMurdoch's organisational-units have been codified (ie. each has been assigned a unique number) to enable cross-linking of relevant data between application systems. Organisational ChartThe Organisational Chart is a diagrammatic representation of all Murdoch Organisational Units (MOUs). Ensure you select 'Org Chart' as the domain (bottom left corner of the browser session) and select one of the two views available - MdU MOU and MdU MOU CODES. Both show the official name (org-name). MdU MOU CODES displays the Alesco clevel (company level) attributed to the MOU at the top of the box and the org-number (used primarily by the Office of Information Technology Services) of each MOU at the bottom of the box. The first page of the chart shows the overall structure of the University. A mouse-click on the connector arrow (located at the base of a box if other levels exist) on this page will take the viewer to a page showing the subordinates of that box. Keeping the Organisational Chart up to dateAny proposed change to the official organisational structure of Murdoch University (whether an addition, a deletion, or a renaming of an org-unit) must be approved by the University's Director of Human Resources before it can be codified and implemented into the University's application systems. Please contact Linda Barton for queries on maintenance of the Organisational Chart (and it's underlying codified database). A log of organisational unit changes is also available.
