Frequently Asked Questions

How do I access and print my Payment Summary?

Payment Summaries are published via MyHR soon after the processing of the last main pay in June each year.  For further information on how to access your Payment Summary, please refer to the following demonstration.

To access and print your Payment Summary, go to MyHR and log in using your Murdoch Username and Password.

Staff who experience difficulty accessing this facility should refer to Murdoch Password (Staff) for guidance on how to obtain or troubleshoot username and password issues.

Once logged in, via the menu located on the left, click on ‘MyHR’ – ‘My Pay’ – ‘Payment Summary’

Dependent on your length of service with Murdoch University, the main window of the MyHR will show a history of Payment Summaries.  One section will show Historical Payment Summary details which cannot be drilled down upon (i.e.: no live links exist). The other section shows historical Payment Summaries, which can be drilled down upon to show detail.

Click on the serial number section of the Payment Summary.  This document is your official Payment Summary that is required to be provided to the Australian Taxation Office.

To Print the Payment Summary, first, click anywhere on the main window of the MyHR, and then choose one of the two options available to print the Payment Summary:

  1. Print by using the print icon on your Internet browser.  Prior to pressing the print button on your Internet browser, first check the default printer associated with your computer.  This is the printer to which the Payment Summary will be printed.  If Ok, press the print button of the Internet browser.
  2. Print by using the print icon in the Staff Web Self Service (located next to the Logout button at the top right corner of the Service).  This will provide a print window, from which a printer can be selected.

Three copies will be printed:

  • Payee’s Tax Return Copy (for provision to the Australian Taxation Office)
  • Payee’s Personal Records Copy (retain for your records)
  • Notice to Payee (information provided by the Australian Taxation Office pertaining to tax returns)

Staff who experience difficulty in accessing this information should contact the HR Helpdesk.
