Hospitality and Tourism Management (BTour)

Course Code: B1157

Hospitality and Tourism Management prepares students for employment in the tourism industry, particularly with front line businesses such as hotels, resorts and transportation companies as well as in the wider context of tourism and hospitality, including non-government organisations (NGOs) and government agencies. It provides a detailed understanding of travel and tourism with special attention to management of tourism related businesses and the strategic management of destinations. By being available within two different awards, students are able to select different unit sets and prepare more specifically for their chosen occupations within hospitality and tourism.

Qualification:Bachelor of Tourism (BTour) in Hospitality and Tourism Management
Duration:3 years full-time or part-time equivalent
Availability: Murdoch campus (internal)
Some units may also be available in the following locations and attendance modes:
Murdoch campus (external)
Rockingham campus (internal)
Employment Prospects:Tourism industry such as tour operators, accommodation outlets and resorts; travel wholesalers and retailers. Local, state and federal governments.
