Internetworking and Security (BSc)

The Internetworking and Security major provides a thorough and practical grounding in networking, network design, administration and management. The major is designed in consultation with industry managers to meet the growing need for networking specialists with skills in security and converged voice and data networks. Students gain a University qualification and are prepared to sit for industry certifications such as: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA); Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA); Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP); Securing Networks with Cisco Routers and Switches (SNRS) and Securing Networks with PIX and ASA (SNPA) all within the Murdoch Cisco Network Academy.

Employment Prospects:There has been a high demand for students who complete this degree. Many organisations seek graduates with Cisco certification that is included in the degree.

Professional Recognition:Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification and Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification, Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA); Securing Networks with Cisco Routers and Switches (SNRS) and Securing Networks with PIX and ASA (SNPA) all within the Murdoch Cisco Network Academy. Graduates of this degree are eligible for membership of the Australian Computer Society at the Professional Level.
