Master of Natural Systems Engineering

Course Code: M1125

The management of natural systems requires integrated knowledge from a range of disciplines. This course will provide graduates with

a fundamental theoretical knowledge of the structure and functioning of natural systems
knowledge of the various components of natural systems management within the broad themes of hydrology, marine geology, marine biology, meteorology, water quantity management, inland waters, analysis of systems management of their interaction
knowledge of modelling, experimental design and the application of management solutions to environmental problems.

This course is offered jointly by the four public Western Australian universities utilising the strengths of each institution to provide the required breadth and depth in theoretical knowledge and the necessary practical skills. Students will take units at each of the four institutions.

Qualification:	Master of Natural Systems Engineering (MNatSysEng)
Duration:	2 years full-time or part-time equivalent

Employment Prospects:	The degree is designed for practising engineers and scientists who wish to enhance their skills in the modelling and management of the fluid environment.
