Environmental Technology (BSc)

This course is designed to enable graduates to contribute as individuals and through their employment to conduct research and find solutions to environmental problems through environmentally sustainable technologies. The course is structured with the themes of water, food (permaculture), renewable energy, and sustainable construction, and examines how technologies can be integrated to achieve sustainability. This integration involves appreciation of how technology interacts with communities and natural ecosystems. This course is designed for those who are interested in a professionally-oriented career.

Duration:	3 years full-time or part-time equivalent
Availability:	Murdoch campus (internal) Murdoch campus (external)
Employment Prospects:	Graduates can expect to find employment in the public and private sectors, within environmental consulting firms and within international environmental agencies where firms are involved in the implementation of sustainability agendas. This includes working within a wide range of industries, including water, agriculture, construction, mining, and waste management, and with local government in implementing Local Agenda 21.
Special Requirements:	The degree is available externally, although some on-campus attendance is required in individual units.
