The Graduate Diploma in Applied Economics is designed to meet the needs of graduates who require training and additional qualifications in applied economics.
Students in the Graduate Diploma apply economic tools of analysis to the business field and to economic policy issues and problems. The course is particularly suited to graduates working in major corporations and financial institutions together with policy analysts in government.
The course can be completed in one year on a full-time basis (or two years part-time) by those with a background equivalent to that gained in BUS161 Introduction to Economics. Students without such a background are required to complete that unit prior to entering the course.
