Medical Engineering (BE)

Course Code: B1188

This major teaches students how to apply traditional engineering principles to biological processes in order to analyse and solve problems in biology and medicine.  On graduating, students will be well placed to make significant contributions to the overall enhancement of health care and quality of life.

Level:Bachelor
Qualification:Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Medical Engineering
Duration:4 years full time for students with required background.
Availability: Murdoch campus (internal)
Employment Prospects:Employment opportunities will exist in hospitals, medical centres, medical instrument and prosthetic device manufacturers, and government health monitoring agencies.
Professional Recognition:Accreditation with Engineers Australia will be sought.
