Ecotourism (BSc)

Course Code: B1231

Ecotourism deals with nature-based experiences for people and encompasses education about, and interpretation of, the natural environment in a sustainable context. The course integrates environmental knowledge about how landscapes and biological systems work with the principles in successfully dealing with people, organisation and planning. The course provides a core of essential material about environmental and tourism management and students are encouraged to develop their own specialisations through careful choice of electives.

Level:Bachelor
Qualification:Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Ecotourism
Duration:3 years full-time or part-time equivalent
Availability: Murdoch campus (internal)
Some units may also be available in the following locations and attendance modes:
Murdoch campus (external) (all but one unit)
Employment Prospects:Graduates will be well prepared for employment by governments, consultants, tourism companies, non-government environmental organisations, and research organisations as well as being self-employed within the tourism sector.
