I understand that a system administrator or other authorised University officer has the right to inspect, copy, remove or otherwise alter any data, file, or system resource which may undermine the authorised use of any computing facility, or to exercise any other rights necessary to protect University computing facilities.
I understand that the University accepts no liability for interfering with, or loss of, any files, programs or data that I am preparing, producing or maintaining, resulting from its efforts to maintain the privacy and security of its computing facilities.
I understand that from time to time I may be asked to comply with additional directions issued by a System Administrator.
I have read the University's Guidelines on Passwords and agree to construct a password that meets the University's requirements.
I accept full responsibility for the exclusive personal use of any Username and Password allocated to me for access to University computing and network facilities.
Conditions of Web Content Preparation & Publishing
I understand that any Content I prepare, produce, maintain and/or publish on behalf of the University; or on behalf of an organisation that is recognised as being associated with the University; or on behalf of an organisation for which the University has formally agreed to provide an Internet Content Hosting Service:
shall not contravene any State, Territory or Commonwealth laws
shall not place Murdoch University's good name or image at risk
shall not contribute to a situation of legal liability for Murdoch University.
I am aware that any Content I prepare, produce, maintain and/or publish on behalf of the University; or on behalf of an organisation that is recognised as being associated with the University; or on behalf of an organisation for which the University has formally agreed to provide an Internet Content Hosting Service:
should adhere to recommended International standards as listed in Section 5.3.1 of the MurdochNet Policy
should follow approved guidelines as listed in Section 5.3.1 of the MurdochNet Policy
should comply with Australian and Western Australian legislation as listed in Section 5.3.2 of the MurdochNet Policy
should, as required, comply with Murdoch University's legislation and policies as listed in Section 5.3.3 of the MurdochNet Policy
should, as required, follow the Murdoch Conventions for Content Preparation as listed in Section 5.4 of the MurdochNet Policy
should, as required, follow the Guidelines that accompany the MurdochNet Policy as listed in Section 5.5.

A Murdoch Username is a pre-requisite for Content Provider access to a centrally-managed Web Server at Murdoch University. To obtain a Murdoch Username, consultants or contract staff should print, complete and submit a Request for a Murdoch Username and Password (PDF) prior to completing the Content Provider Access Application Form.
