About the Murdoch Childcare Centre
The Murdoch University Child Care Centre strives to be a home away from home, where children are cared for in an environment that allows them to develop at their own rate in their own way.
Our primary aim is to create an environment where the child is happy to stay and the parent can leave, content in the knowledge that the child feels safe, secure and accepted.
Facilities
The specially designed centre can accommodate up to 48 children from the age of 6 months to 5 years.
The centre has a “Babies Room” for 8 babies aged from 6 months to 2 years, a “Two’s Room” for 10 children aged 2-3 years and a “Threes to Fives Room” for a maximum of 30 children.
Funding
The centre is accredited by the National Childcare Accreditation Council and is an approved service for the payment of the Child Care Benefit. The Child Care Centre receives financial support from Murdoch University and is a ‘not-for-profit’ Community Based Centre.
Location
The centre is set in its own grounds to the west of the Education building, near Car Park 5. It is open from 8.00 am until 5.30 pm, Monday to Friday, closing for three to four weeks over the Christmas Holidays. Use this link to view an interactive map of the Centre.
