Section 3 CODE OF CONDUCT

Section 3.4 Misconduct

Section 3.4.5 Non-Compliant Hosting on Servers

Any use of a Server to host Associated Content or recognised Foreign Content on a Server that should not be used for that purpose, as defined in Section 3.1.1.1 Hosting University Content, Section 3.1.1.2 Hosting Associated Content and Section 3.1.1.3 Hosting Foreign Content, should be reported in the first instance to the Head of Division (or their official nominee) for the organisation unit or resource area that is responsible for the computer used to run the Server.

Should the Head of Division (or their official nominee) fail to take the necessary steps to instruct a Web Administrator or Web Liaison Officer to relocate the Content to another Server, then the inappropriate hosting of Content should be reported to the Director, Office of Information Technology Services.

Where Non-Compliant hosting on a Server is reported to the Director, Office of Information Technology Services, and the Director determines that the Content reported should be removed or relocated, and that steps should be taken by the University to resolve the situation, then the steps taken may include:

(i) an instruction from the Vice Chancellor that the Content be removed or relocated

(ii) the removal of Content from a Server by a designated University officer (eg. IT Security Manager)

(iii) the blocking, via the University’s DNS (or other mechanisms) of the IP used by the Server that hosts or provides access to the reported Content.
