Section 3.3 Links

Section 3.3.4 Inappropriate Links

All Links (ie. Registered Links, University Content Links, Foreign Content Links and Internet Links) to Content that is considered, or may be considered Inappropriate Content (as defined in Section 3.2.3 Inappropriate Content), shall be considered Inappropriate Links.

Links made to Associated Content hosted on or accessed by an Affiliated Web Server run by an external ICH service (eg. for a Murdoch student club or society), shall also be considered Inappropriate Links if the Associated Content contains material that could reasonably be considered Inappropriate Content.

Content Providers including Links, should be aware of the requirement to include only appropriate Links and that such Links should not link to Inappropriate Content.

Content Providers should also be aware that where the University determines that Content includes Links to Inappropriate Content and that such Links present an unacceptable risk to the University, then appropriate steps shall be taken to reduce the risk (eg. removing the Links from the Content).

The University reserves the right to use whatever mechanisms necessary to put in place appropriate access restrictions to Content hosted on or made accessible via a Server on the Murdoch University Network, where that Content includes Links to Inappropriate Content and such Links may place the University’s good name at risk, or could contribute to a situation of legal liability for the University.

Section 3.3.4.1: Exceptions to Inappropriate Links
