Section 5.7.5 Roles With Responsibility for Content

Section 5.7.5.9 Director, Office of Information Technology Services

The Director, Office of Information Technology Servicesl, when advised by the relevant University officers, or when instructed by the Vice Chancellor, or in response to a Take-Down Notice from the Australian Broadcasting Authority, shall be responsible for :

(1) instructing a Web Liaison Officer, or a Web Adminstrator, or the IT Security Manager, to restrict access to, or to modify, or to remove Content that:

a. is deemed Inappropriate Content with respect to Section 3.2.3 Inappropriate Content

b. includes links to Inappropriate Content with respect to Section 3.3.4 Inappropriate Links.

The Director shall also be responsible for:

1) liaising with the IT Security Manager re activities by staff or students related to the preparation or production of Content, or Links within Content, where those activities may be construed as Misconduct as defined in Section 3.4 of the Code of Conduct

2) taking appropriate action as per the IT Security Policy Conditions of Use of Computing and Networking Facilities, Section 15, for the resolution of Misconduct related to the preparation or production of Content, or Links within Content, by staff or students.

3) authorising the University’s official Disclaimer Notice that is used in conjunction with Associated Content and Foreign Content.

4) authorising the University’s official Web Sites Privacy Notice that is used to inform end-users of what personal information is collected and what use is made of personal information.

5) resolving issues related to the archiving of MurdochNet Content

6) instructing a Web Administrator to archive or remove Content where that Content is Associated Content and is found to have no identifiable Content Custodian.
