Section 5.7.5.1 Application Systems Custodian (Third-Party Products)
For Content that is
provided as part of third-party Web-based application, or a Web interface to an
existing application system that has been acquired and implemented by an
organisation unit or resource area, the role of Application Systems Custodian
shall be responsible for ensuring that the Content is managed appropriately.
This shall include determining whether the configuration of the interface
allows Murdoch guidelines and the Murdoch Conventions for Content Preparation
to be followed. Wherever practical, Murdoch guidelines and conventions should
be followed.
The role of Application Systems Custodian shall also be responsible
for:
1) ensuring
Content is only added, revised, or deleted by authorised persons
2) determining
whether the product adheres to international standards and guidelines and
Australian legislation (eg. accessibility)
3) liaising
with the vendor to facilitate application modifications for compliance with
international standards and guidelines and Australian legislation.
