Section 5.7.5 Roles With Responsibility for Content

Responsibility for MurdochNet Content is intended to cover the preparation and maintenance of Content, the inclusion and validity of links within that Content, and the publishing of Content by authorised Content Providers.

For the purposes of assigning responsibilities for the management of Content, a number of roles and certain positions shall have nominated responsibilities for Content. There shall also be roles and certain positions with responsibilities related to facilitating access to Content provided by organisation units, resource areas and held in corporate and other databases.

Additional responsibilities shall be assigned to some roles and certain positions for the purposes of adding and removing Foreign Content from computers on the Murdoch University Network.

The roles and positions include:

1) Application Systems Custodian (Third-Party Products)

2) Chair, MurdochNet Management Committee

3) Content Custodian

4) Content Provider

5) Copyright Coordinator

6) Data Administrator

7) Director, Internal Audit and Risk Management

8) Director, Office of Information Technology Services

9) Director, Office of Corporate and Public Relations

10) IT Security Manager

11) MurdochNet Administrator

12) MurdochNet Coordinator

13) Records Officer / Archivist

14) Web Administrator

15) Web Liaison Officer

16) Web-based Application Custodian (In-house)
