Section 5 CONTENT MANAGEMENT

Section 5.7.4 Outsourcing / Contracting Out of Content Preparation

Any organisation unit, resource area, or individual Content Custodian seeking to outsource or contract out the preparation of Content, shall liaise, in the first instance, with staff responsible for the administration of MurdochNet. The aim of such liaison shall be to ensure that staff in the organisation unit or resource area who are seeking to outsource or contract out, fulfil the requirements of this policy and its associated guidelines for Content preparation.

Any organisation unit, resource area, or individual Content Custodian that does outsource or contract out the preparation of Content, shall ensure that:

(1) the above requirements for responsibility for Content are met

(2) their unit or resource area has access to the appropriate resources (ie. staff and skills) for the ongoing maintenance of that Content.

Any Content deemed to be Non-Compliant (ie. to not adhere to recommended standards, to not follow approved guidelines, or to have not been prepared using the Murdoch Conventions for Content Preparation), shall, under the authority of the Director, Office of Information Technology Services, be either removed, or have access to it blocked until such time as it is modified to comply with this Policy and its associated guidelines.
