Section 5.4.11 CRICOS Provider Code Convention
In accord with Section 107 of the Education Services for Overseas
Students Act 2000, the University’s CRICOS Provider Code and the
University’s name shall display on University Content that is:
- categorised
as public relations or marketing material, or
- categorised
as information to prospective students about courses provided by Murdoch
University.
For situations where it is unclear whether or not the
Provider Code and University name should be displayed, it is recommended that
the objectives of S107 of the Act be pursued and therefore these details should
be included. For example: Content that includes information about service
provided by the University for international students.
The Murdoch CRICOS Provider Code Convention to be practiced
in the preparation of Content includes:
- display
of the University’s name
- use
of a CRICOS Provider Code statement
- including
a link to the DEST site for the University’s CRICOS entry.
CRICOS Provider Code Statement
The CRICOS Provider Code
statement shall be displayed in a manner that enables an end-user to easily
associate the name of the University with the Provider code and to readily
access the details of Murdoch University’s entry in the Commonwealth Register
of Institutions & Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).
Document Information Footers
The metadata that accompanies Content subject to the
requirement to display a CRICOS Provider Code shall include the use of document
information footers or metadata popups accessed by a link on a page titled Page
Information. The footer or popup display shall include a CRICOS Provider Code
statement.
The CRICOS Provider Code statement shall:
- provide a link to the University’s entry in the
Commonwealth Register of Institutions & Courses for Overseas Students
(CRICOS).
