Section 5.4.1 Content Category Convention
The Murdoch Content Category Convention to be practiced in
the preparation of Content, shall include:
- Assigning
to material the appropriate University Content Subcategory as defined in Section 2.2.2.2 University Content, or the appropriate Associated Content
Subcategory as defined in Section 2.2.2.3 Associated Content
- Assigning
to material that is copied and then hosted on a computer on the Murdoch
University Network, the appropriate Foreign Content Subcategory as defined
in Section 2.2.2.4 Foreign Content (eg. Q, R, S, V)
- Assigning
to material that is hosted on a computer on the Murdoch University Network
for other institutions, organisations, associations or conferences, the
appropriate Foreign Content Subcategory as defined in Section 2.2.2.4 Foreign Content (eg. W, X)
In complying with the Code of Conduct Section 3.2.1 Appropriate Content, a Content Custodian, or in their absence a
Web Liaison Officer, shall
- ensure
that the type of material they are preparing, or having prepared for them
by a Content Provider, is Appropriate Content that can be assigned a
Content Subcategory as defined in Section 2.2.2.1 MurdochNet Content.

The metadata that accompanies Content shall include the use
of:

META tag ‘MU.Category’ to assign a Content Subcategory.
