Section 4.9.2 Director, Office of Information Technology Services
The Director, Office of Information Technology Services
shall be responsible for:
(1) liaising with the IT Security Manager re activities by staff
or students related to the use of Servers that may be construed as Misconduct
as defined in Section 3.4 of the Code of Conduct
(2) taking appropriate action as per the IT Security Policy Conditions of Use of Computing and Networking Facilities Section 15, for the resolution of Misconduct related to the use of Servers by
staff or students.
(3) approving any alternate domain name that is to be used in the University’s Domain Name Server (DNS) and associated with a Web Server run on the Murdoch University Network
(4) maintaining records of applications to register an Individual Web Server (5) authorising, where no other appropriate position is available to do so, the removal or disabling of an obsolete Web Server.
