Section 1 PREAMBLE

Murdoch University’s vision for the use of the World Wide Web is

To utilise the potential provided by the Web and associated Internet technologies in support of the University’s mission and strategic goals.

This document describes the policy for the use of the World Wide Web and other Internet technologies at Murdoch University to provide an information service, henceforth referred to as MurdochNet.

MurdochNet is the name given to a collection of information resources and services, accessible via Internet protocols, providing online, interactive information to the Murdoch University community and the community at large. The boundary of MurdochNet is determined by the type of Servers on which Content is physically hosted, the type of Content and the type of Links included in that Content.

Any comments on the structure, format and content of this document, should be directed to the MurdochNet Coordinator, who shall be responsible for providing feedback to the MurdochNet Management Committee.
