Section 4.3.2 Assessing an Application to Use an Alternate Domain Name
When assessing an application to use an alternate domain
name, the Web Administrator responsible for the Server shall:
- determine
from the applicant that the Content to be hosted on the proposed
Affiliated Web Server and Links within that Content shall be appropriate,
as defined in the Code of Conduct of this Policy (ie. Section 3.2.1 Appropriate Content and Section 3.3.1 Appropriate Links).
- in
conjunction with the Communications Services section of the Office of
Information Technology Services, determine whether or not the proposed
Affiliated Web Server should be tied to a designated IP address for the
purposes of network traffic accounting, network security, and applying
access restrictions.
