Section 4 SERVER MANAGEMENT

Section 4.9 Responsibility for Web Servers

Responsibility for Servers is intended to cover the management of Web Server software and the access by authorised persons to the computers used to run Web Servers.

For the purposes of assigning responsibility for the management of MurdochNet Servers and Affiliated Web Servers at Murdoch University, a number of roles and positions shall have nominated responsibilities for Web Servers.

The roles and positions include:

1. Content Provider
2. Director, Office of Information Technology Services
3. Guild President
4. Head of Division
5. Head of School
6. IT Security Manager
7. Manager, Communications Services
8. Manager, Computer Services
9. MurdochNet Administrator
10. MurdochNet Coordinator
11. Senior Executive member
12. Web Administrator
13. Web Liaison Officer
